Daniel Nicholas is a New York City magician and mentalist who performs for corporate events, holiday parties, galas and private celebrations across Manhattan, the boroughs and the Tri-State area. He works close-up during cocktail hours and dinners, moving from group to group, and performs stand-up mentalism shows when the whole room should share one moment together.
New York audiences have seen everything, and they are not easy to impress. That is exactly the kind of room Daniel is built for. His work blends sleight of hand with mind reading, so guests are not only watching something happen to a deck of cards. They are watching something happen to their own thoughts.
What He Performs
Close-Up Magic
Strolling magic for cocktail hours, receptions and dinners. Daniel works table by table and group by group, with borrowed rings, signed cards and moments that happen inches from your guests’ hands. It is the fastest way to turn a room of small talk into a room full of stories.
Stage Mentalism
A stand-up show, usually 30 to 45 minutes, built around audience volunteers. Thoughts are read, choices are predicted, and the whole room experiences it together. It works especially well after dinner at corporate events, galas and milestone celebrations.
Custom Experiences
For brand activations, product launches and trade shows, Daniel builds routines around your message, your product or your theme, so the entertainment supports the event instead of interrupting it.
Hiring a Magician for a Corporate Event in NYC
Most of Daniel’s calendar is corporate: holiday parties, client dinners, sales kickoffs, conferences, retreats and award nights. He has performed for the New York Yankees, Goldman Sachs, Google, Apple and Meta.
Corporate rooms need a specific touch. Guests should feel included without anyone being put on the spot, the timing has to fit a run of show, and the performance has to read as polished in front of clients and leadership. Daniel plans each event with the organizer in advance: the audience, the schedule, the room, and anything to avoid. The most common format is close-up magic during the cocktail hour followed by a short mentalism show after dinner.
“… my boss flew in top clients from all over the US and several international partners and tasked us with finding the best magician and mentalist in NYC. Well, we certainly found him! … then did an after dinner show for a room full of would be skeptics and completely won them over.”

Private Parties and Celebrations
Daniel also performs for milestone birthdays, anniversaries, engagement parties, holiday gatherings and family celebrations, from a dinner for 15 in a private home to a ballroom party. At a private event the host usually knows every guest by name, so the magic gets personal: a borrowed ring that turns up somewhere impossible, a name a guest was only thinking of, revealed in front of their friends.
“Amazing performance from start to finish! Daniel engaged and entertained guests throughout the night! … As an event planner he is one of my favorites to recommend to my clients.”

How Booking Works
Send your date, venue, approximate guest count and a few words about the event through the Check Availability form. Every inquiry is answered personally, usually within 24 to 48 hours. From there you get a recommended format and a clear quote, then a short agreement to hold the date. The week of the event, Daniel’s team confirms timing, arrival and the point of contact so the day itself runs smoothly.
Holiday season (November through January) books furthest ahead, often two to three months out. For the rest of the year, four to eight weeks is usually enough.
“Dan completely entertained everyone at our holiday office party, generally a skeptical crowd, Dan had everyone mesmerized and taking about his amazing performance long after it was over.”
